Claru · AI Data Collection
Workplace Video Contributor
Record real workplace activities from a first-person perspective for AI evaluation. Only footage accepted by Claru is potentially eligible for payment.
Job description
Commercial / Business Workplace Egocentric Evaluations
Contribute original videos of normal work tasks in a commercial or business workplace. Footage must be filmed by you with a head-mounted first-person camera and submitted through your own authorized Claru account in the official Claru Mobile App.
Apply through Sprig's AI Tasks dashboard and complete the 10-question video interview for human review. Passing the interview does not guarantee an invitation. Claru may require its own project-specific qualification or sample clip and makes the final decision about eligibility and footage acceptance.
This is an independent contributor opportunity, not salaried employment. Sprig records eligible rewards only after Claru verifies the accepted duration and the corresponding partner payment is confirmed.
Payment conditions: The rate applies to footage accepted by Claru, not time spent working or recording. Rejected footage earns $0. Rewards are credited only after verified partner settlement. Assignments and earnings are not guaranteed.
Requirements
These criteria determine whether submitted footage is usable. Please read all of them before applying.
True first-person camera
Mount the camera on your head at forehead or eye level, angled about 45° downward so it captures your hands and the work. Chest mounts and cameras attached to a wall, vehicle or machine are not allowed.
Both hands visible — minimum 80%
At least 80% of the frames in EACH clip must show both hands. Every grab and release must be visible, although an object may be carried out of frame. This is the most common reason footage is returned.
Framing setup check
Before filming, stand still, relax your arms at your sides and look straight ahead. You should see both hands and your own toes in frame. This is a one-time setup check, NOT the acceptance test; delivered clips are assessed against the 80% both-hands requirement.
Video format and quality
Landscape and right side up. Minimum 1080p AND 2 MP; 4K preferred. Constant 30 or 60 FPS only: 24 FPS, 48 FPS and variable-frame-rate video fail. Use H.264 or HEVC in MP4 or MOV, 8-bit, HDR off, audio on and no zoom. Submit camera originals only: no re-export or re-encoding.
Clip duration and continuity
One activity per clip, at least 5 minutes, filmed from start to finish. No mid-task cuts, editing, speed changes or idle gaps longer than 10 seconds.
Authentic work
Film real work as it is actually done, at a normal pace, whether seated, standing or moving. Do not stage or re-enact any activity.
Activity variety
No single activity may account for more than 40% of a category's accepted hours, pooled across all of your sites. Provide at least three distinct activities per category; more variety is preferred, including within the 50-hour project scope. This does not guarantee 50 paid hours.
Original footage only
You must capture the footage yourself. Do not use material sourced online, resell footage from another library or re-upload previously submitted content.
Eligible phone and approved account
Use the official Claru Mobile App on a supported device (selected iPhone, Samsung Galaxy S and Google Pixel models), with your own approved Claru account. The Claru email you register in Sprig must match the account used for accepted work.
Workplace permission and privacy
Get permission to record at the workplace and informed consent from anyone captured when required. Keep confidential business information, private data and unauthorized third parties out of the footage.
Frequently asked questions
Is $3.75 an hourly wage?
No. It is the reward per hour of footage actually accepted by Claru. Filming time, setup time and rejected recordings do not count. Sprig credits only after accepted duration and confirmed partner payment are reconciled.
Does passing the framing setup check mean my clip will be accepted?
No. Seeing your hands and toes during the stationary check only validates the camera position. Every delivered clip must independently show both hands in at least 80% of frames, including grabs and releases.
Can I record at 4K or use a 24 FPS camera?
4K is preferred, provided all other rules are met. Footage must have a constant frame rate of 30 or 60 FPS. 24, 48 and variable FPS are not accepted. Keep HDR off, 8-bit, audio on, and submit the original MP4 or MOV recording encoded as H.264 or HEVC.
How long should each recording be?
Each clip must capture one real activity from start to finish for at least 5 minutes. No edits, cuts, speed changes or idle gaps over 10 seconds.
Can I record the same task repeatedly?
Variety is required. Each category needs at least three distinct activities, and any single activity must stay at or below 40% of the category's accepted hours across your sites.
Where do I apply and upload footage?
Start with Sprig's AI Tasks dashboard and complete its reviewed interview. If invited and approved by Claru, use your own authorized Claru account and the official Claru Mobile App to record and submit. Do not send project videos directly to Sprig.
Is work or payment guaranteed after applying?
No. Claru determines eligibility, sample qualification, available work and acceptance. Rejected footage earns $0 and Sprig credits only partner-confirmed payments.
